As a recently retired family law attorney I have been writing briefs and legal memoranda for a living for almost two decades. Previously I was a nerdy science geek growing up, always collecting facts, and learning all I could about anything that struck my fancy. I love taking a mass of information, distilling it, organizing it and making a clear and persuasive presentation.
Before law school I was a geologist. I graduated from Scripps Institution of Oceanography with a Masters degree and wrote a thesis on geochemistry of the ocean crust. I learned scientific and technical writing in graduate school.
Along the way I raised five impressive children, while going through failed relationships. Four kids were classified as gifted, One child was exceptionally gifted and talented and another a brilliant child with autism, now successfully supporting himself as an engineer.
I have been writing on boards for online support groups since 1998 as a respected community member.
